South Yuba Ridge Trail Clearing
Bicyclists of Nevada County (BONC) is clearing brush from this trail for preparation of final flagging.
Sunday, September 12, 8AM - Meet at the USFS office in Nevada City. The trail will start off Bowman Lake Road near Grouse Ridge and extend down to just east the town of Washington. When it is done, you will be able to ride between Grouse Ridge and Washington above and near the South Yuba River.

Mountain Biking at the Deer Creek Hills Preserve
Saturday, September 25, 2010, 7:30am-10:00am
You're invited to explore on your mountain bike the rolling savanna grasslands, dotted with dramatic blue oak and open vista at Deer Creek Hills. Mountain Bike Docents will escort riders on significant climbing single track, cattle paths, and ranch roads. While this pastureland serves as a working cattle ranch during November through May, cattle have proven to be superb designers for single track trails!
This venue is simply great for experienced riders with knowledge of shifting to lower gears for climbing hills. This is not considered a beginners course.
$10.00 registration fee and RSVP on-line or contact Gina Silvernale @ 916/612-3719. $40. Season passes available.
Approximately 8-11 miles are covered in 1-2 hours of riding.
